While addressing a California Democratic Party event in San Francisco on Saturday night, former Colorado governor and 2020 presidential hopeful John Hickenlooper was practically booed off stage for speaking out against socialism.

The New American reports during his speech, Hickenlooper stated, “If we want to beat Donald Trump and achieve big progressive goals, socialism is not the answer.”

That comment was met with sustained boos that lasted for 30 seconds.

His reception by the far left in the party didn’t help his presidential chances.

Out of the nearly two dozen Democratic hopefuls, Hickenlooper has struggled to even make the top 13.
