Kevin cruises back into NYC after speaking at the Independent Women’s Forum gala in DC, sharing a few behind-the-scenes moments and setting the tone: it’s Fun Friday, the weekend is here, and New York is the main character.

Cristyne tees up a big city mission—stop treating major events like something to hide from. With the World Cup and America’s 250th celebrations ahead, the episode champions showing up in person, supporting local businesses, and keeping NYC’s cultural engine loud and proud.

NYC Tourism + Conventions CEO Julie Cocher joins to talk momentum: tourism supports over 400,000 city jobs and delivered $85B in economic impact last year, including $54B in visitor spending and $7.8B in tax revenue that helps fund everyday city services.

Summer headline? America 250 celebrations (July 3–8) plus a harbor spectacle: 48 tall ships and 52 allied/naval vessels, representing 48 countries, with free ship tours and a parade-of-ships vibe that’s basically “NYC as a movie trailer.”

Then it’s World Cup mode: matches begin June 13, with the final on July 19 at MetLife (rebranded for FIFA), plus free fan activations in every borough—from Queens (USTA) to Rockefeller Center, Brooklyn Bridge area, Staten Island, and the Bronx—so you can catch global energy without needing a stadium ticket. The show closes with Mother’s Day weekend picks (including a Mamma Mia brunch at Ellen’s Stardust Diner) and a shoutout to Linda Perillo’s memoir + book event.
