Kevin and Cristyne turn the spotlight toward the next generation of theater lovers with Jason Laks of The Broadway League and a celebration of the 30th year of Kids Night on Broadway. The program lets kids 18 and under attend participating Broadway shows free with a full-paying adult, with 22 productions joining the fun. Restaurants, attractions, and special theater experiences help transform a night at the show into a full-fledged Times Square adventure.

The Broadway experience goes beyond simply grabbing a seat. Jason shares how participating shows offer special activities such as cast talkbacks, sing-alongs and activity books, giving young theatergoers a peek behind the curtain. Kevin, Cristyne and Jason also reminisce about the shows that first sparked their own love of theater—and how one unforgettable performance can create a lifelong Broadway fan.

Next, Kevin and Cristyne meet Finn, a young performer from Michigan and winner of Ellen's Stardust Diner's Junior Stardusters competition. After entering the contest the previous year without winning, Finn returned, earned his moment in the spotlight, and prepared to perform during Kids Night on Broadway. His story brings a dose of perseverance and plenty of big-stage ambition to Fun Friday.

Finally, Cristyne serves up a lively menu of things to do as summer winds down. New Yorkers can catch the Yankees, enjoy a free Bryant Park movie, listen to jazz at Lincoln Square, learn salsa along Hudson River Park, or dive into Anime NYC at the Javits Center. Kevin also highlights the inaugural IndyCar race in Washington, D.C., for anyone ready to venture beyond the five boroughs for a high-speed weekend adventure.
