SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov 13, 2025--

Ditto, the pioneer in edge computing and peer-to-peer data synchronization, today announced that Yaniv Erel has joined the company as Chief Technology Officer, effective immediately. Yaniv brings over two decades of engineering leadership experience from technology leaders, including Apple, Atlassian, and eBay, where he built and massively scaled distributed systems serving billions of users worldwide.

As CTO, Yaniv will lead Ditto's engineering, product and support organization through a critical growth phase, driving the company's mission to revolutionize how applications handle data at the edge. His mandate includes elevating system reliability to 99.99% uptime, implementing data-driven engineering practices, and scaling technical infrastructure as Ditto accelerates toward IPO readiness.

"Yaniv is exactly the leader we need to take Ditto's engineering to the next level," said Adam Fish, CEO and Co-founder of Ditto. "His proven ability to transform engineering organizations, combined with his deep expertise in cloud infra, makes him uniquely qualified to lead our technical strategy as we scale to meet explosive demand from enterprise customers."

Yaniv most recently served as Head of Cloud Services Engineering at Apple, where he led engineering teams building multi- and hybrid-cloud platforms critical to Apple's services infrastructure, both third- and first-party clouds. Prior to Apple, he led the backbone engineering team in Confluence Cloud at Atlassian, where he managed scale and transformed the platform's infrastructure while maintaining aggressive growth targets. His career also includes progressive leadership roles at eBay, where he architected systems processing billions of listings in near real-time.

"Ditto is solving one of the most challenging problems in distributed computing – enabling seamless data synchronization across devices without constant connectivity," said Yaniv. "The opportunity to lead this world-class engineering team and push the boundaries of edge computing technology is incredibly exciting. I'm passionate about building systems that are technically elegant and deliver real value at scale. Together, we'll create the infrastructure that powers the next generation of resilient, responsive applications."

Yaniv's appointment comes as Ditto experiences rapid adoption across industries, with enterprise customers relying on its platform for mission-critical applications. His immediate focus will be on building engineering excellence through improved reliability, establishing comprehensive observability practices, and scaling the team to support continued innovation in edge computing.

"What attracted me most to Ditto is the combination of hard technical challenges and real-world impact," added Yaniv. "We're not just building technology for technology's sake – we're enabling experiences that work seamlessly whether you're online, offline, or anywhere in between. That's the future of computing."
