A Utah judge is set to decide whether to remove prosecutors from the murder case against Tyler Robinson, the man accused of killing Charlie Kirk during a rally at Utah Valley University. Prosecutors plan to seek the death penalty in the Sept. 10 shooting. Robinson’s attorneys argue that Deputy County Attorney Chad Grunander has a conflict of interest because his daughter was in the crowd when Kirk was shot. Judge Tony Graf could remove one prosecutor, the entire Utah County Attorney's Office, or allow the team to remain on the case. The court is also considering other measures to ensure Robinson’s right to a fair trial, including restrictions on courtroom cameras and video evidence of the shooting.

Although he lost his titles over his links to Jeffrey Epstein, the former Prince Andrew remains eighth in line to the throne. President Donald Trump on Monday warned countries against backing away from recently negotiated trade deals with the U.S. after the Supreme Court struck down his emergency tariffs, saying that if they did, he would hit them with much higher duties under different trade laws. Trump, in a series of social media posts, said he also may impose license fees on trading partners as uncertainty over his next tariff moves gripped the global economy and sent stocks lower. "Any Country that wants to 'play games' with the ridiculous supreme court decision, especially those that have 'Ripped Off' the U.S.A. for years, and even decades, will be met with a much higher Tariff, and worse, than that which they just recently agreed to. BUYER BEWARE!!!" Trump wrote on Truth Social. Trump said that despite the court's decision to invalidate his tariffs under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, its decision affirmed his ability to use tariffs under other legal authorities "in a much more powerful and obnoxious way, with legal certainty, than the Tariffs as initially used." He suggested that the U.S. could impose new license fees on trading partners, but did not provide any details.

A massive snowstorm pummeled the northeast United States from Maryland to Maine, forcing millions of people to stay home amid strong winds and blizzard warnings, transportation shutdowns, and school and business closures. Winter weather in the Northeast may also slow the processing, transport and delivery of mail and packages, the U.S. Postal Service said. Around 15,247 flights were delayed by early afternoon on Sunday (February 22), and 3,509 were cancelled. The largest number of cancellations was at JFK, LaGuardia, and Newark airports. Mayor Zohran Mamdani declared a state of emergency and ordered non-essential vehicles off city roads from Sunday (February 22) night to noon Monday, saying plows and emergency crews needed the streets clear as snowfall intensified. The city is under its first blizzard warning since 2017.

Nick Reiner has pleaded not guilty in the killing of his parents, Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner. Nick Reiner’s attorney entered the plea to two counts of first-degree murder in a Los Angeles courtroom Monday. Authorities say the acclaimed director and his wife of 36 years were found dead with stab wounds in their Los Angeles home on Dec. 14. Nick was arrested hours later and has been held without bail for the two months since. Police have said nothing about possible motives. Prosecutors have not decided whether to seek the death penalty.
