In a story published Oct. 23, 2025, about state rules regarding driver’s licenses, The Associated Press erroneously reported about state rules for driver’s licenses. The story has been corrected to read that California is one of 19 states in addition to the District of Columbia that issues standard driver’s licenses regardless of immigration status, according to the National Immigration Law Center.
