Becklin Holdings, the parent of ECS Composites (the “Company” or “ECS”), announced today the appointment of Major General David W. Abba, U.S. Air Force (Retired), to its Board of Directors. This appointment marks a key strategic addition to ECS’s governance, bringing unparalleled leadership, operational expertise, and national security insight.

Major General Abba retired from active duty in November 2024 after nearly 30 years of distinguished service to the United States Air Force. An accomplished fighter pilot in the F-15C and F-22A, he commanded at the squadron, group, and wing levels. His staff assignments included serving as Airpower Strategist in Project CHECKMATE, Assistant Executive Officer to the Air Force Chief of Staff, and Senior Air Force Strategy Advisor in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy. As a general officer, he directed the Air Force’s F-35 Integration Office and the Department of Defense Special Access Program Central Office.
General Abba holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Factors Engineering from the U.S. Air Force Academy, a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College, and a Master of Science in National Resource Strategy from the Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy. He is also a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Weapons School, the Naval Operational Planner Course, and MIT’s Seminar XXI program.
