Teradata Appoints Josh Fecteau as Chief Data and AI Officer

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov 3, 2025--

Teradata (NYSE: TDC ) today announced the appointment of Josh Fecteau as its Chief Data and AI Officer (CDAO), underscoring the increasingly central role of data and AI as critical drivers of business success. Fecteau will lead Teradata’s enterprise-wide data and AI strategy, driving continuous improvement in the use of AI and demonstrating the transformative potential of Teradata’s platform in the emerging agentic AI era.

Fecteau brings more than two decades of experience in data architecture, enterprise transformation, and most recently, AI enablement. Since joining Teradata in 2019, he has led the modernization of the company’s internal data ecosystem, and spearheaded deployment of flagship scalable agentic AI capabilities—establishing Teradata as “customer zero” for its own data and AI offerings.

Prior to joining Teradata, Fecteau held leadership roles at EMC and in strategic consulting, advising CIOs on enterprise-wide IT transformation. His career has been defined by blending technical expertise with business acumen, shaped by his education in Business and Technology at Syracuse University. At Teradata, he expanded his responsibilities to include Enterprise Architecture and Enterprise Data, delivering substantial organizational value and helping shape the evolution of Teradata’s customer experience. His work has helped position Teradata as the autonomous AI and knowledge platform.

In his new capacity, Fecteau will be responsible for:

• Strategically planning and overseeing the internal deployment of data and AI solutions to strengthen Teradata’s competitive position.
• Leading the “Teradata on Teradata” initiative—building enterprise-scale solutions using Teradata’s own technology suite, including its latest AI innovations, to strengthen service offerings and business operations, as well as improve the customer experience.
• Engaging with customers to share how Teradata has leveraged its enterprise-grade capabilities to drive impactful outcomes from its own AI initiatives—offering insights that can inform and inspire their own journeys.
• Pioneering new AI capabilities internally and providing direct feedback to product teams to enhance and accelerate offerings for customers.
