MIDDLETOWN, Pa. (AP) — Officials say a worker at the deactivated Three Mile Island nuclear plant in Pennsylvania died in an accident at the plant last week. An Exelon Generation representative said in a statement that the contract worker was fatally injured at about 11 a.m. Friday “while unloading equipment from a truck at Three Mile Island.” The company called it a “material handling accident” that occurred “outside of the Radiological Controlled Area." Londonderry Township emergency medical personnel responded and upon arrival pronounced the person dead. The worker's name and other details about the accident weren't immediately released.
