Body of man found along river amid search for fleeing man



LEHIGHTON, Pa. (AP) — Authorities say the body of a man has been recovered from an eastern Pennsylvania river in the area searchers were looking for a man who went into the river while fleeing from police the night before. The (Allentown) Morning Call reports that the Carbon County coroner pronounced a 32-year-old man dead Wednesday afternoon along the Lehigh River near a railroad trestle. An autopsy is slated Thursday. Police haven’t said whether they believe the man is the same person who went into the river Tuesday night after fleeing from Franklin Township police.. Details on why he was being pursued weren’t immediately available.
