HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug 6, 2025--

Rice Alliance for Technology & Entrepreneurship and BioHouston proudly present the 14th Annual Texas Life Science Forum, returning to Houston on November 11th, 2025. As the state’s leading conference for life science innovation, the Forum convenes trailblazers across industry, academia, clinical research, and the investment community to spotlight breakthrough developments in therapeutics, medical technology, and digital health.

Now in its 14th year, the Texas Life Science Forum reflects the enduring partnership between BioHouston and the Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship—two organizations committed to advancing innovation in healthcare and the life sciences. This annual gathering supports the full commercialization journey, from early-stage discovery and academic research to startup formation, clinical validation, and market entry. Attendees benefit from thought-provoking content, strategic networking, and meaningful connections between entrepreneurs, investors, researchers, and corporate leaders—all working to bring breakthrough science from the lab to life.

Jeffrey L. Wade, Chairman of BioHouston, commented: “Houston is a powerhouse of life‑science innovation. The Texas Life Science Forum shines a light on emerging therapeutics, med-tech solutions, and digital health platforms with the potential to transform patient care. We’re proud to host compelling startups and innovative growth companies on a stage where capital meets science.”

Rice Alliance and BioHouston have announced the call for life science ventures to apply.

Brad Burke, Associate Vice President for Industry & New Ventures at Rice University’s Office of Innovation and Executive Director of Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship, explained. “We’re looking for the top early to growth stage companies from around the country to come to Houston and participate in the Texas Life Science Forum. This is an opportunity for cutting-edge life science companies to get access to one-to-one meetings with and give pitches to top investors and leaders from the life science ecosystem in Houston, home to the Texas Medical Center, the largest medical center in the world.”

Promising therapeutic, medtech, and digital health ventures are encouraged to submit their applications by Friday, September 26, 2025.

This year’s Forum will feature:

  • Venture Pitches: Promising emerging companies present investment‑ready innovations in therapeutics, medical devices, and digital health.
  • Keynote Panels: Thought leaders discuss investment and regulatory trends, market access, and commercialization pathways.
  • Networking Opportunities: Curated sessions designed to foster collaboration between researchers, entrepreneurs, and investors.

Houston’s life science ecosystem continues to thrive as a globally competitive hub for healthcare innovation. Home to multiple leading medical schools and major biomedical research institutions—including the world’s leading cancer care center and the world’s largest children’s hospital—Houston drives transformative discoveries and is rapidly emerging as one of the nation’s most dynamic life science markets. The Texas Life Science Forum energizes this ecosystem, bringing together researchers, entrepreneurs, and investors to collaborate, commercialize, and turn breakthrough science into market-ready healthcare solutions.
