How do we bridge the enthusiasm gap?

RSS Feed

In this discussion, Scott Jennings delves into the current political climate with pollster Brent Buchanan, CEO of Signal CYGNAL. They analyze recent national survey results, highlighting a significant enthusiasm gap favoring Democrats. Democrats currently lead by nine points on the generic ballot, the largest gap recorded. Non-college educated voters, historically a Republican stronghold, are now leaning Democratic. Buchanan explains that while the spending advantage currently favors Republicans, it has only been in place for a short time. He also notes that moderate Republicans, who are more frustrated with both parties, may not be as motivated to vote in the midterm elections, posing a challenge for the Republican Party.
