FREMONT, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mar 26, 2026--

Tandem PV, a pioneer in American perovskite solar technology, has been named to TIME’s America’s Top GreenTech Companies of 2026, marking the third consecutive year TIME has recognized the company for its leadership in clean energy innovation.

The honor reflects Tandem PV’s growing role in advancing next-generation solar technology at a critical moment for energy affordability, resilience, and domestic supply chain security. To assess the most notable tech shaping the sustainability space, TIME and Statista partnered to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the top-performing U.S. companies that are focused on developing or providing technologies, products, or services that help mitigate or reverse the environmental impacts of human activity. Companies were evaluated on positive environmental impact, innovation, and financial strength.

Tandem PV’s proprietary technology combines thin-film perovskite with conventional silicon solar cells to increase power output and reduce the cost of solar energy. The company’s panels currently achieve 29.7% efficiency, making them 30% more powerful than the average silicon solar panel. As Tandem PV expands domestic manufacturing, its technology will offer customers a compelling combination of performance, durability, and value.

“Solar has reached an inflection point where the market is demanding not just lower-cost clean energy, but bigger leaps in performance, resilience, and domestic capability,” said Scott Wharton, CEO of Tandem PV. “Being recognized by TIME for the third straight year reflects the progress our team is making to bring American perovskite innovation to market and expand what solar can deliver for customers and U.S. energy leadership.”
