DETROIT--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct 29, 2025--
Reuters Automotive USA Conference – At this week’s Reuters Automotive USA conference, 24M Technologies Inc. has been awarded the Innovation Honour, presented as a part of the prestigious Reuters Events D.R.I.V.E 2025 Honours.
The D.R.I.V.E Honours, hosted annually by Reuters Events, celebrate global excellence across five categories: Innovation, Reducing Emissions, DEI Commitment, Visionary Leadership, and Empowering Women. 24M was selected by a panel of industry experts for its pioneering work in battery technology and driving innovation within automotive.
“By embracing truly disruptive innovations that take performance, efficiency, and sustainability to new heights, 24M is helping automakers trail blaze a new path in the auto industry,” said Naoki Ota, President and CEO of 24M. “We are honored to be recognized by Reuters; it’s a powerful validation of how 24M is redefining what’s possible in energy storage and across the automotive supply chain.”
24M’s breakthrough approach to lithium-ion battery design and production has garnered attention for its ability to improve safety, boost energy density, reduce manufacturing complexity, and lower costs, key factors in accelerating the transition to electrified transportation. In 2025, the company delivered state-of-the-art innovations to advance these goals:
- High Energy Density (24M ETOP™): The 24M ETOP (Electrode-to-Pack) system slots into production lines to eliminate unnecessary cell materials, increase energy density and lower costs. This creates strong advantages for both high-voltage systems and low-voltage chemistries such as LFP. It enables quick, cost-efficient production with as little as $5 million in capital investment and makes it ideal for both new entrants and established manufacturers in the battery market.
- Safety (Impervio™): The first-of-its-kind separator that can prevent catastrophic battery fires by blocking metallic dendrite formation, correcting electrode misalignments, and enabling early fault detection to shut down batteries before fires occur. It also features a built-in liability control mechanism to address secondary use and recall risks.
- Range and Performance (Eternalyte™): A new battery electrolyte that enables ultra-fast charging, makes the 1,000-mile battery achievable, and delivers breakthrough cold-weather performance—eliminating driver concerns about reduced range in low temperatures.
- Sustainability (LiForever™): A revolutionary electrode manufacturing and recycling technology that makes up to 98% of a battery’s material recyclable without the creation of black mass when used alongside 24M’s LiForever semisolid electrode technology.
Winners of the D.R.I.V.E 2025 Honours are announced both online and in-person at Automotive USA, Reuters Events’ flagship automotive leadership summit in Detroit on Wednesday, Oct. 29.
